New Content Incoming!

Before I get into the new content that's going to be coming to my page, I want to first point out that there is an update available to existing versions of Melatia. Only minor changes, such as removing a couple of text errors that slipped past me during review, changing the icon of the application (hopefully for real this time), and adding some persistent data to be used in the upcoming bonus chapter.

So, yes! There is a bonus chapter in the works. This will actually be released separately from the main game, so that it can be downloaded for free, without the purchase of the main game. I'm choosing to do this for a couple of reasons, but primarily because it is truly a different product overall, only sharing the same characters. It's meant to be a fun little side chapter to introduce people to the world without having to jump straight into things.

Why am I making it? Honestly, it serves three purposes. 1) I love these characters that I've made, and I want to continue using them to tell stories. 2) It will serve as a learning tool for me to understand the engine more and how I can use it going forward. 3) It's going to be a loving homage to the Ace Attorney games, which I adore.

So it's going to be a "courtroom case" story, and I'm hoping to really learn more about flags, how they work, and how to use them best.

No murder, though.
